Validity of Cheques

With effect from 1^st April 2012 Bank should not make payment of cheque/Draft/Pay Order/Banker’s cheque bearing that date or any subsequent date if they are presented beyond the period of three months from the date of such instrument. For existing cheque book/draft/pay order/banker’s cheque a rubber stamp should be affixed indicating the validity period of 3 months only from the date of issue with effect from 01.04.2012
